Rules for exchange of goods

In accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On the Protection of Consumer Rights”, within 14 days from the moment of purchase, a good quality product that the buyer did not like for any reason can be returned.

In order to return money or exchange goods from the buyer, there must be a receipt (cash or merchandise).

According to Article 9 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Protection of Consumer Rights”, the exchange of goods of appropriate quality is carried out if the settlement document issued to the consumer together with the sold goods is preserved. The presence of the receipt is the basis for exchanging or returning the product and proof that you purchased the product in this store.

Make sure that no more than 14 days have passed since the purchase.

The consumer has the right to exchange goods of appropriate quality within fourteen days, not counting the day of purchase, unless a longer period is announced by the seller (Article 9 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Protection of Consumer Rights”). The last day you can request a refund and take back a product of good quality will be the 14th day of the period that started the day after the purchase.

Check the product for its original appearance and for signs of wear or damage.

An exchange of a product of appropriate quality for a similar product is carried out if it has not been used and if its appearance, consumer properties, seals, labels have been preserved, and if at the time of the exchange the similar product is not on sale, the consumer has the right to purchase any other products from the available assortment with the corresponding price list, or terminate the contract and receive money back in the amount of the value of the returned product, or exchange the product for a similar one at the first arrival of the corresponding product for sale.

The money paid for the goods is returned to the consumer on the day of termination of the contract, and if it is impossible to return the money on the day of termination of the contract, at another time agreed upon by the parties, but no later than within 7 days.

In a situation where the store representative refuses to exchange the product or refund the money, the only option for resolving the dispute will be to go to court.

To do this, record the fact of contacting the store, that is, hand over to the store representative a signed application with legal requirements for the exchange of goods, if accepted applications are rejected – it must be sent by mail or courier and keep proof of shipment.

We also remind you that there is a list of goods of proper quality that are not subject to exchange (return), approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 19.03.1994 No. 172 “On the Implementation of Certain Provisions of the Law of Ukraine “On Protection of Consumer Rights”. The list of goods of appropriate quality that are not subject to exchange (return) includes: food products, medicinal products and means, sanitary items.
